I've learned that it's very important to read all the verses you can find about a topic in order to get context. Often times the pictured painted in the bible is all over the place because we are reading writings about topics that the readers back then already understood. Stories about these creatures were passed on from generation to generation for thousands of years. Now we're picking up the pieces.

We are in someways taught to avoid this topic all together. Some footnotes even refer to the Leviathan as a hippo or alligator. That's completely foolish! The description in Job is of a massive sea dragon that shoot fire from it's mouth. Plus, Yeshua comes to destroy both the Leviathan and the Behemoth of these creatures on the Day of the Lord. Some battle that'd be if he just killed an alligator. It'd be quite the buzz-kill for the most epic day of existence. On the other hand, a huge part of what makes Jesus' return so jaw-dropping is how he one hit KOs both of these sea Monster that God literally created for that very purposes. The Bible says that every knee will bow to his son Yeshua and wouldn't you after you saw some thing like that?! Among everything else that happening in that time!

Clearly theres somethings way more and thats what we're about to find out. We're about to learn more about how amazing our Creator is and just how much he care for his people in a way that certainly surprised me. We'll also gain a much clearer perspective of how absolutely awesome Yeshua's will be at his return. Movie don't even go to this level.

Prolepsis

: ANTICIPATION : such as

the representation or assumption of a future act or development as if presently existing or accomplished

This is used a lot in scripture because many of the authors have this kind of confidence in God's promises, as well all should. For example this type of speech is used often in reference to the Day of the Lord, our resurrected bodies and even in modern music such as Joy to the World - "He rules the world with truth and grace...." Understanding this use of speech makes a lot more of the Bible very clear! It's a huge blessing. You'll see the writer of Psalms speak of salying the Leviathan as if it's already happened. That is proleptic speech.

Agency

: INSTRUMENTALITY : a person or thing through which power is exerted or an end is achieved

Communicated through the agency of the ambassador

Every single time an angel showed up in the Bible the Hebrews knew they were speaking to YHWH, but this confuses us today and some people think YHWH himself showed up, but when you dig around for context we see that they were very clear that the angel was the messenger and that their message would be hear by YHWH himself. Even in the story of Moses and the burning bush, it turns out the bush was on fire because Scripture states it was a flaming angel in the bush. Agency is used by Paul over and over again too. Read scripture with this in mind and things become less ambiguous.

The Father

HEBREW : YHWH aka Yahweh, Yehua

ENGLISH : God, The LORD, The Most High, the Almighty One

The Heavenly Father of all and his aim is to restore the earth he created and live with all his children in righteousness. He is he final Judge during the White Throne Judgment and the creator of the Heavens, the Earth and all that is in it.

The Son

HEBREW: Yeshua or Yehusha

ENGLISH: Jesus

The Son of Man, The Son of God, the firstborn of Creation and the Lamb. He lived a righteous life and willingly died on the cross in order to go to Sheol, snatch the keys to death and return to Heaven as our Eternal High Priest granting him the ability to petition to YHWH on our behalf, thus giving us forgiveness of sins and replacing the earthly high priest position. He is also the most epic warrior of all time and will return to slay the wicked and save the righteous at the same time. Jesus is an integral part in the plan to restore the Earth back to the way it was in the Garden and the Father has given him all power and authority until the mission is over.

The Spirit

HEBREW : Ruach

ENGLISH : The Holy Spirit

YHWH literally cannot be around his people, because of our sin, which makes it physically impossible to be around Him in our earthly bodies. We can't even see his face! So until we are resurrected with bodies of Water and Spirit (John 3) Yah sends his Spirit to be with his people as "a deposit of what is to come" when we meet him face to face. So despite the distance he can still guide his kiddos through His loving spirit until he is reunited with his people on the Day of the Lord.

Angels

HEBREW : Malachim (plural)

ENGLISH : Angel

A type of Elohim who's role is to be messengers of YHWH. They deliver messages in the agency of YHWH and also defend men against the rulers of the power of the air and unclean spirits. They guard different aspect of creation and can also disguise themselves as men - so that's cool.

The King James version of the Bible notoriously uses the word "Hell" in all instances of these words, but when you look up the definitions of the words in Hebrew you find that the word "hell" has three different meanings and that they are four different places with different roles. Let's briefly go over what scripture says about them, so we can understand how they fit into the end of the story.

Sheol

GREEK : Hades | HEBREW : Sheol

Psalms tells us that all souls go to Sheol. Its spoken of as a place under the earth for souls to await either judgment or the resurrection. Also known as "the realm of the dead." There are two sides of Sheol specifically described by Jesus in Luke 16:19-31. The lawless side is not to be confused with the Lake of fire, however it seems to be an uncomfortable environment. The agony of a soul in the unrighteous side of Sheol comes from the realization and regret of not following God's ways nor believing in the testimony of Jesus Christ and understanding ones coming judgment.

The moment the man or woman dies, their soul seems to have a pretty clear understanding of how it all works. The righteous side is described as a place of rest aka Abraham's Bosom. A place with all the other believe who died before and there is a healing river of life that flows through it. Both sides can make petitions to YHWH from either side as we see that Abel and even Jonah cried out to God from the righteous side and the lawless are crying out in an agonizing, repentant way, pretty much always.

The Pit

GREEK : Tartarus | HEBREW : Abaddon

The beast called Apollyon comes out of "The Bottomless Pit" in Revelation 9:11, which is a suitable name for the guy who was locked away there. The Hebrew word Abaddon refers to the Pit that holds the Watcher Angels in Genesis 6 and 1 Enoch. They are chained in darkness as 2 Peter 2:4 and Jude 1:6 tell us and Satan is thrown into it during the Millennial Reign of Christ. It's basically the place for the REALLY bad dudes to wait their destruction in The Lake of Fire. It's very deep into the earth, dark and guarded by an extremely powerful angel named Jou-el.

The Lake of Fire

GREEK : Tartarus | HEBREW : Gehenna

Gehenna also known as The Lake of Fire is the place where unrighteous are sent to be destroyed eternally. It's commonly know that this is where "people burn in hell forever" but that comes from early Gnostic teachings that do not aline with the story of Scripture at all. Eternal destruction is not eternal torment and people do not burn in hell, because their bodies are dead and buried so we're now dealing with a soul. When a soul is deemed unrighteous by YHWH it is removed from existence in an effort to purify the Earth as YHWH restores it back the way it was in the Garden.

Satan

The Dragon, The Serpent

Portrayed to different nations in past as:

Azazel, Marduk, Enlil, Ra, Brahma, Zeus

The antagonist of history, an angel, who has always deceive men into straying away from Yahweh's love and guidance. He has been given the sentence of eternal torment, but continues to skate by getting people to do his bidding, but YHWH has sentenced him and his time is growing short.

The 1st Beast

The False Prophet, Apollyon, The Assyrian

Portrayed to different nations in past as:

Nimrod, Hamurrabi, Gilgamesh, Osiris, Shiva, Apollo

In scripture "beast" is used to refer to a lawless or ignorant individual. The right hand henchmen of Satan in the last days. He comes out of Abaddon and it's mortal wounded, get's healed. He tries to gain authority over the whole world like he did during the tower of Babel. His name is Apollyon. He wreaks havoc against Yah's people because he knows his reign is very short and he will soon be destroyed in the Lake of Fire. It's his 10 seconds of fame, but he is the biggest loser of all time.

The 2nd Beast

The Beast of the Earth

Portrayed to different nations in past as:

Nergal, Nebo, Enkidu, Anubis, Vishnu, Hermes

It exercises the authority of the 1st beast and comes out of the Earth. It has two horns and performs great signs, deceiving those who dwell on the earth to worship the image of the first beast. It even gives breathe to the image of the first beast making people think it has life. It controls commerce and trade and is also about to lose HARD.

The Ten Kings

These are the kings that rule over the earth under Satan's grip. These positions are probably filled today, but we'll likely see different people in power take the role. These are the biggest puppets of Satan's Kingdom called Babylon. These kings and their armies are the primary targets of Yeshua and the angels as they return to cleanse the wicked of the earth and bring down the city called New Jerusalem.
